Exploring Class Book Bundle

An analysis of class is at the heart of many books on radical politics, but society has changed hugely since the time that Marx was originally writing. These three carefully-chosen books approach the subject in different ways. Together they give a nuanced introduction to thinking about class and what it means in today's hyper-capitalist world.

Dan Evans' 'A Nation of Shopkeepers' looks at class in the UK and the role of the petty bourgeoisie — the lower middle classes. D Hunter's 'Chav Solidarity' is an antidote to much academic writing on class which investigates what it means to be working class from a broadly autobiographical perspective. And 'Class Power on Zero Hours' by the AngryWorkers collective tells the story of grassroots organising in the east end of London.
