Protest

By Edited by Ra Page

For August we are celebrating the power of protest. As workers and trade unionists gather on the streets and the cost of living crisis escalates, this inspiring book brings to life twenty key moments of British protest, from the Peasants’ Revolt of 1381 to the anti-Iraq War demo of 2003.

Featuring authors including Kit de Waal, Frank Cottrell-Boyce, Kate Clanchy, Juliet Jacques, Alexei Sayle and others, these stories follow fictional characters caught up in real-life struggles, offering a street-level perspective on the power of collective action and resistance.
